Welcome 7th Grade Families!
On behalf of the SOMS HSA (Home School Association), we would like to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to all of our 7th grade families for the upcoming school year. We are thrilled to be a part of the HSA, as the 7th Grade Coordinators, and we look forward to a year filled with collaboration, community building, and meaningful engagement.
As you may or may not know, the HSA is the middle school’s version of the PTA. The HSA plays a vital role in supporting our school’s mission and creating a nurturing environment for our students to thrive. While you, as parents, will be busy helping your 7th grader navigate the first year of middle school, we will be working to make your transition to a parent of a middle schooler easier as well.
Our role is to help the 7th Grade Teacher Team Leaders plan events, assist with field trips, send communications, and answer your questions (or at least know where to direct you!) Throughout the year, we will partner with our Teacher Team Leaders to organize a variety of events, fundraisers, and initiatives aimed at enriching the school experience for our students. From family fun nights to community service projects and teacher appreciation activities, there are countless opportunities for you to get involved and make a positive impact.
