For example, John Smith = jsmith@somsd.k12.nj.us. For voice mail, call the main office number and follow the prompts to enter the first few letters of the person’s last name.

To report a student absence:

Your child’s name, grade, your child's homeroom teacher's name and your name
Day or dates your child will be absent
The reason your child will be absent. If your child is absent due to illness, please indicate whether your child has a temperature of over 100 degrees.

1) Call the South Orange Middle School Main Office at 973-378-2772 and follow the prompts

2) Send an email on PowerSchool. Select- Forms - Attendance- Student Absence Notification.
